it's been a few years since i've looked at this
i seem to remember that the death details for adair lockhart are on jean lawson's gravestone
that would be johnshaven cemetery i think
was thomas lockhart born 1832 dundee ?
barbara lockhart(blair) died 13th december 1835 dundee age 34 child birth
wife of adair lockhart
adair lockhart seems to have married barbara blair 1826 dundee angus
then married jean lawson 1840 benholm kincardineshire

ev,

yes my Thomas Lumsdean Lockhart was born Sept. 23, 1832 to Adair and Barbara Blair. I don't have a death for Thomas' brother William or anything about his sister Margaret Miller Lockhart or James Lockhart. Thomas and his brother George both immigrated to Canada so I have their information but not the other siblings. I do have information of Hugh and Jane and a little of the Cairds but not much.

also, thanks Jean.

Alicia

thanks ev,

i didn't know when hugh had died and i found jane in the 1861 and 1871 census, she was living with her mom's sister in the 1861 census and she was living with a different family in the 1871 census, she is listed single in both census and she is listed as a teacher

Jenny, I've had a look at the gravestone transcriptions and there's none for laing.

Here's one for Officer:

         ERECTED
         BY
         JOHN OFFICER
         IN MEMORY OF HIS WIFE
         ELIZABETH MITCHELL
         WHO DIED AT SCOTSTON LAURENCEKIRK
         29TH SEP 1900 AGED 72 YEARS
         ALSO THEIR SON JAMES
         WHO DIED AT KIRKTON BENHOLM
         13TH JULY 1862 AGED 11 MONTHS
         ALSO THE ABOVE
         JOHN OFFICER
         DIED AT SCOTSTON LAURENCEKIRK
         24TH FEB 1902 AGED 84 YEARS
         ALSO THEIR SON ALEXANDER
         WHO DIED AT STONEYDALE LAURENCEKIRK
         18TH SEPT 1907 AGED 44 YEARS
         AND INTERRED IN LAURENCEKIRK CEMETERY

Nothing for any of your other names either there are graves marked Ogilvy on the plan, but unfortunately no headstones. I have some other records I can look at for you, so bear with me and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
