Missing Link
« on: Tuesday 04 January 11 23:57 GMT (UK) »
Hi  I have a missing link / brick wall.  My Auntie & her 2 sons

Hanora O'Sullivan Born 1907   Bere Island,
Son Barry Born ?
Son Anthony  Born  ?

I knew her as Auntie Phyllis.  she lived at The Bunglow, Lawrence Cove, Rerrin, Bere Island with my Grandma Sarah O'Sullivan.

I was taken every year on holiday from when I was born in 1947 till my Grandma died in 1953, I have photo's of Hanora & the Boys, I think Barry was around 4/5 years older than me & Anthony about 2/3 years older, can't find Birth's for the Boy's in Castletownbere or Bere Island, and no Marrage for Hanora in Castletownbere or Bere Island,  The P.P has looked at the records for me.

All I can remember is being told Hanora went to London (this would have been after 1953) don't know where the Boy's went.  Hanora's parents were Cornelius O'Sullivan (Ukirre) & Sarah Harrington (Caupey).

Any information on Hanora & the Boys would would be great.  Thank you

Sheila

I am assuming you have hit all the conventional resources - civil registration, church, census.  If nobody's suggestions pan out and you still come up empty, consider contacting this man, he is a (world) famous Beara area genealogist and he knows many many Sullivan family trees:

Thank you for your reply, I have been in touch with Riboard and he was most helpful on lots of my family, but could not help with this mystery.
