Field names in Dishforth.

I have a copy of the will of J. William Appleton of Dishforth, dated 15.11.1747 in which he bequeaths fields to his children. There is no name for the farm. I would like to identify where it was, whether these names are still in use and if there is still a property in existence.
The best clue I have is that on google maps for Dishforth there is a Duckhill Lane. The field names are:- Higher Duckhills, Sandbarphs, Ox pasture, Pasture hill, Milldam and Froskem.
As I have been unsuccessful in my original enquiry may I ask if anyone is related and doing research on the William Appleton mentioned above.

   Hi Cutters Wenlock, havn't been around for a while and only just noticed your post tonight.
 Whilst i can't help you directly i'm sure my mother will have some information for you, i'll be seeing her on sunday so will take a copy of your post for her to read.
 She was born in Dishforth in 1922 and lived there till she was relocated for the war effort to the Austin factory in Birmingham in 1942. As a child i spent all my summer holidays living at my Aunt's in Dishforth and 'Appleton's Yard' rings a bell to me and i've heard her mention Appleton's many times when we've talked about the village, i paid a visit only a couple of weeks ago to take pictures of relatives gravestones in the churchyard. I also have school photo's from the 20's and 30's that have many of the village members on.

Thank you. I am pleased to have the contact. I have found from my internet researches that there are probably at least two Appleton families fromthe area although they may well have a common origin many years ago. My Appletons were butchers and blacksmiths in later generations in Topcliffe and then Raskelf before Stockton on Tees.  Brian

I've been doing research on these particular lines, the Appletons in Stockton, the blacksmiths in Topcliffe and Raskelf and the farmers in Dishforth.
Would be useful if you have any photos or any  additional information outside of parish records. Let me know if you have any particular queries.
