Hi Jim,

There could very well be a connection.

My GG Grandfather, Alexander Mutch was born in 1851 in Fyvie, but his father (my GGG Grandfather), also Alexander Mutch, was born in 1811 in Cruden. My GGGG Grandfather was William Mutch, who I believe was born in New Deer, but married, lived and died in Cruden. I'm not sure where my GGGGG Grandfather, yet another Alexander Mutch, was born, but he married a Janet Johnston from New Deer, and they both died in Ellon.

I fit with Marcie Dean with the marriage of Marjory Charles and James Hutcheon.  There daughter Mary Margaret married my grgrandfather John Henry Moss from Norwich.
