looking for Silva
« on: Wednesday 29 December 10 09:45 GMT (UK) »
Hello everyone, yesterday I did my first post but see that I put it in another (wrong)discussion...der... I'm just a novice!! I am trying to trace a family by the name of Silva. This is what I know...Reginald Eric Silva married my grandmother, Lillian Mary Crump in St Pancras London in 1918. His profession electrical engineer. Present was his father Max Silva a mechanical engineer. In 1919 a son is born and registered as Melville Eric Silva de Shepstone. Since then none of the males can be found in the UK although my grandmother remained in London and gave her name as Shepstone. Is there a link to SA...if anyone has any info I would be very grateful. Thank you.

PS there are some references to Silva's on NAAIRS and one JMB Silva joined the mounted police in Natal in 1899 but nothing concrete to link up.
