Hi Plum,
Why did you post your question to the West Yorkshire board ?

I was looking for the death of Sybil and Ada hoping that the place might give a clue to where children might have been born. Was Sybil born in Peterboro  and Ada in Hendon ?

If I get time I'll look where the children might have married

Hi again Plum
this is the GRO ref for the death of Sybil Eugenie Marsden, She was born in Peterboro
Name:   Sybil Eugenie Marsden
Birth Date:   15 Oct 1894
Date of Registration:   Jul-Aug-Sep 1973
Age at Death:   78
Registration district:   Hendon
Inferred County:   Middlesex
Volume:   5c
Page:   572
So I guess that answers your question as to who was the mother of the children born in Hendon.

hi dave thank you for your trouble, it looks as tho the jesty girls where probably both born in peterboro and some how they ended up in barnet/hendon,
looks like sybil had three of the children and ada the other, but as barnet and hendon are next to each other one or both families could have both ended up in hendon, for the moment i will assume that  its 3-1 to sybil.

as regards why i posted this plea on west riding, never gave it a moments thought  as all the other members of the family where born in and aroud  scammonden/barkisland and norland, didnt think to have put it in the london area for the quicker response, down to the grey matter not working as it did before i retired, havnt had to give it much to do for 13yrs.. thank you very much for your help plum.
