George Pease
« on: Tuesday 28 December 10 15:53 GMT (UK) »
I am looking for information regarding George Pease born in Patrick Brompton somewhere between 1810 and 1814.  Parents were Thomas Pease and Isabella Barwick.  Siblings were born in Kirk Leavington.  George left England for Canada in abt 1835 where he married Mary Nicholson also of England.  They travelled on the same boat to Canada.  Mary travelled with her family.

I have posted this information before but have been too busy raising a family to be able to look for one.  My email address has also changed.

A note of interest is that George's sister Margaret married John Graham and lived in Darlington in the 1870s.  They had a daughter Hannah who married John Thomas Sedgewick who was a wine merchant in Darlington.  This information comes from a letter received on behalf of the sister when she was informed of George's death in Canada in 1868.  That was the first known information about George back to England since he left in 1835

My dates and names may not be exact but close as far as any documents and records that have been kept over the years.

Any information would be wonderful.  Thank you to the people who help me find information a couple of years ago.

Regards,
Dawn

Christening: 18th October 1789

I wonder whether you've seen the pilot site from Family Search, with you taking a break from family history - there may be some additions which you might not know about :

Isabella (Barwick) Pease was one of the older sisters of my great-great grandfather William Barwick who was born in Patrick Brompton, 7 June 1792.  William was the only boy and he had six sisters!  William's three eventual sons migrated to Australia from the late 1850s.  William married a Betty Hanley from Masham.

I'm interested in any further information you may have about Isabella's antecedents - particularly her parents George Barwick and Hannah Bewick.  If you have information that pushes either family further back in time or other source material I am very keen to see it and share if possible.
