Robert Heslop Barnard Castle
« on: Tuesday 28 December 10 13:35 GMT (UK) »
Help desperately needed. I'm trying to track down any data relating to Robert Heslop b 1716 in Richmond, North Yorks and resided in Barnard Castle (I think) in the mid 1700s. He married Frances Farling (b 1716?) and they had 7 children - Elizabeth, Frances, Mary, Robert, Thomas, William and Joseph. According to records, Robert Heslop was baptised 30 August 1716 (Richmond) and I believe his father was called John. This is all the data that I have and I'd be grateful for any help in tracking down info relating to Robert Heslop.

Thank you very much Diddy for all of this - it has helped me a lot. Robert Heslop was my great x 5 Grandfather. As a relative novice to family history, I have found it quite straightforward up to post census but struggle beyond that. Possibly a question of time and commitment on my part, so I am extremely grateful for your help on getting me closer to Robert and his father John. Best regards, Hilton
