Hi I am trying to find the birth of REBECCA GRIFFITHS fromMARKET DRAYTON, she was born c1824,5,6. She married George Smith and then Matthew John Simock. any help or advice would be appeciated finding Rebecca

Do you have a marriage cert for Rebecca?  If not, this would be a good starting point to confirm her father's name and occupation.

This looks like her first marriage:

Marriages Sep 1850
GRIFFITH  Rebecca

Unfortunately, she doesn't seem to be with her parents on the 1841 census.   :(

Thanks for the swift response, I have both her marriage references but have not yet bought the certificates as the research is for a friend. I agree there is no sign of her with her parents in the 1841 but a couple of servants that may be her.
I am not sure if there are any birth indexes for Market Drayton but perhaps the name rings a bell with someone

Thanks for the information, Would someone fromCleobury Mortimer say they were born in Market Drayton in all the census? my knowledge of Shropshire is very poor.
