Cunningham needs help
« on: Wednesday 22 December 10 11:59 GMT (UK) »
Whilst I have details of my mother's ancestry for several generations, I cannot get beyond my paternal grandfather ( born Ballybay, Monaghan in 1870)   His father's name was Bernard and is shown as afarmer on his son's marriage cert.   What source should I try?

Welcome to Rootschat.
Have you found Bernard Cunningham (born 1870?) in 1901 and 1911 census records?
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

I found no trave of a Bernard Cunningham born 1870 in 1901 or1911 census records, but have a Bernard Cunningham born 1877 living at 14 Main St., Ballybay. I think there may be a relationship as I think my granfather was born in Ballybay
