James Sledden registered in the sub district of Oswaldtwistle 1900 mothers maiden name Jones or the alternative name of Hargreaves with the same reference number.  It is looking very likely that Frederick and Margaret didn`t actually marry until 1902 as suggested by Carole

yes william sledden 1907 was my grandfather and frederick sledden 1860 was his father  and i think that he had three more sons they were i think walter, richard,frederick and my grandfather was the fourth son this is about as far as ive got regards
nathaniel  sledden.
