Unfortunately Lancashire isn't in my research area, but I see from the "Hugh Wallis" site that in Oswaldtwistle there are only 20 years of Wesleyan church records.  Thus I presume your family walked to Church village where I see the earliest Sleddin/Seddin baptism and marriages were in the mid 1700's

So, you have traced them on the census then?  Frederick and wife Margaret born Liverpool?

Was William b 1907 the son of Frederick b 1860?

If not - you will have to use the 1911 census to obtain his parents details

We really need you to tell us what info you already have (ie) census /BMD etc so we don't waste time duplicating it

yes william sledden 1907 was my grandfather and frederick sledden 1860 was his father  and i think that he had three more sons they were i think walter, richard,frederick and my grandfather was the fourth son this is about as far as ive got regards
