CROSBY - Liverpool, census look up please

Is there someone who would be kind enough to take a look in census records for my friend's grandma please?

Her name was Margaret CROSBY, she was born in (about)1886 - not sure where, but possibly Liverpool. 
All we know about her is that she married a William Brown in Liverpool in 1908. She died in 1923 during childbirth of her 9th child aged 37- which is how we know her birth year.

Not a lot to go on, but would be very grateful if anyone could pick up any kind of lead.

What do you want to know about her? You may be better off working backwards from the 1911 and that will give her place of birth.  I don't have access to the 1911 sorry.

The only one I can find with a birthyear of 1886 on the 1901 census  is born in Garston and living in Warrington with her parents John and Mary J Crosby.

Census info would be great - would like to piece together the family and see where I get with them.  My friends mum never talked about her own parents so I'm up for finding anything and everything!

There's a problem in that there were 4 Margaret Crosby's born between 1883 and 1887. Two in Liverpool and two in West Derby. There's only one born 1886 in West Derby  so it could be the right one.

I think it's going to be easier to buy her marriage cert and  it will give you her father's name so you know for sure it's the right one.

Mmm... I think you're right in that it's the info from the 1911 when she was already married to William Brown is what I need to be able to pin her down to her own Crosby family, but I don't have access to that either.

I'll bear in mind the Garston one & her parents.

Yes, I guess biting the bullet and buying the cert is the best option for my friend if there are several possible Margarets.   
The 1886 one does sound quite interesting as the only fact we have is her death in 1923 aged 38.

Where did she die?

The death was registered in Liverpool. Their children look to have been born in West Derby from FreeBMD.

Ok I am getting the picture now. When was the first child born and if you give me a name I'll see what else I can come up with.
