Robert is on the 1861 census, but his wife Cecilia is "head" of house on 1871 and listed at a widow in 1881.  Maybe he did die at sea, but where did his wife go?  She lived on "Back Street" from 1851 to her death in 1883.

Hi Diddy  re Robert Beveridge & Ceillia Fisher
sorry can find no headstone in my index for them
as they  died 1861+ 1883 they would more than likely have been buried
in Dysart Cemetery opened for burials 1860 and is still having burials today
have checked the lair records for other Dysart Cemeteries
Pathhead Feuars, Barony,St Denis, and St Clairtown Feuars.but nothing.
re Cecila Beveridge staying at 11 Back street in 1881 Census
have  a map of the area showing 11 to the right of EU church
about across the road, My son presently lives at No 1 to 5 Back Sttreet
now called Pathhead Court between the Burial ground(Pathhead Feuars)
and EU church, the houses to the right of the church were demolished
in early 1900 to make way for Linolenm  Works
PM your Email and I will send direct

Thanks for all your work!  I appreciate it. I would never have thought it that difficult to locate a grave until I went to the Mitchell and tried to look at the old microfilms of the graves in Glasgow- forget that!! The films were in horrible shape and too many to look through, plus I later learned from the Glasgow Herald that they were cremated!

What a generous thing to do…. I wondered if you could kindly check for any Kellock or Reid burials, if it’s not too much trouble:

David Kellock, Jean Reid        Kirkcaldy, Fife, Dron

I have David Kellock married to Jean Reid.  From Scotland's People, under Register of Marriages for Kirkcaldy, 1755, it reads: "contracted in order to marriage David Kelloch founder, of this parish and Jean Reid in the Parish of Dron and after proclamation were married the 3rd of February"

I don’t have David or Jean’s birth dates, but I believe these are their death dates:

David Kellock, son of David Kellock  b?  died Jan 1784 as shown: "Burgess Kirkcaldy: David Kellock, founder, son of David Kellock, founder(?) in Kirkcauldy 3.1.1784; Thomas son of David 29.10.1788; William, clock and watch monger, son of David 3.1.1788"

Jean Reid on 03 Feb 1755 in Kirkcaldy, Fife b? died 24 Jan 1792 as follows: "RID, JEN: spouse of David Kellock, founder; 24/25 Jan 1792" (This was listed in the list of Reid deaths so it was probably actually Reid) Died on the 24th, buried on the 25th.

From the above I am surmising that David Kellock’s father was David Kellock, and Thomas Kellock and William Kellock are his brothers.

I wondered if you have photos of their headstones, which might list their birthdates (of David Kellock and Jean Kellock, nee Reid) and the birthdates of their brothers.

Any info at all would be helpful.

Thank you in advance
