Hello Norrie
Thanks for your generous offer to help.

I am trying to track down some of my wife's family in Kirkcaldy (or maybe Pathhead or Dysart).

The person I am trying to find is Wiliam WEIR born 5 February 1870. His father was also William Weir and his mother Janet (nee Laing). I am struggling to find any record of his death.

William's wife was Caroline nee Burbeck. She died on 1 August 1946 at 90 Victoria Rd in Kirkcaldy. The death record does not show William as deceased so I am assuming he was still alive in 1946.

Thanks & regards

Ian A

Hi Ian  sorry  nohing on William Weir & Carlonine Burdock

I do have a stone for his father William & Janet Laing

the inscription reads from Bennochy Cemetery Kirkcaldy

72   Erected in memory of my husband
               William Weir b.1941 d.1909
Thomas Laing Weir 2nd son b.1868 lost at sea  1884
3 other children died in infancy
   wife Janet Laing died  27.1.1925

did William & Caroline have any children as I  have some other
Weir stones in the area, and they may be on them.

Thanks so much Norrie. This headstone is a relative!

Yes there are other Weirs...when I get home, I'll send thru some names.

Kind regards
