Hello David,
You do have a good point on reflection tonight we all are looking for birth 1855-1857 Malmesbury area, the photo clearly says shes 79 years old but is it 1907 or 1937, i was convinced 10 minutes ago it was 1937 until your reply.
After looking again at the image is it possible she died in 1907 and was born 30 years earlier than that would mean she was born about 1828.
Very good point so we should all look for 1826-1829 malmesbury now and hope we find something, if it is 1937 then i still don't find anything from 1855-1858.
It's funny as i don't think i have seen any census records much of there life together.
If the photo is really from her death in 1907 why did they get all the records so wrong.
Searching 1828 record will be difficult, best bet would be 1841,1851,1861.
I don't know but i will stick with died 1937 until we get any more information.
Thanks for letting me know it could be 1907.
The headstone does say 79 years old so i would go for this but it could be wrong.
It could be that it is so badly worn we cannot read it properly?
Thanks Alan
