The earliest I can with the Freegards in Queensland are.

The 1895 Queensland Electoral Roll has a Garnet John Freegard a farmer at McEuen.

The Queensland Horse & Cattle Brand Index 1872-1899 has a Hodley Samuel Freegard with a brand (3SH) licence dated 9th July 1886 for a run/farm at Comet.

Hello Gerry,

What you mention would help as the Freegard family from uk would work farms in Wiltshire around Calne and Bremhill area if you have heard of this place.
The Name Hudley Samuel Freegard is most likely as i have seen also Hadley or Hodley at some point but think they are mistakes only.

3sh would be 3 Shire horses i have heard of this but don't know farming talk well, comet not sure what this means, i think i need to learn queensland maps a lot more from now on as i have several places to look up, Coolabunia, Queensland? Kingaroy Queensland?

Hudley Samuel Freegard or his father was born in Wiltshire uk but i would need to log on to my genesrenuted accout to get more information about him.

I can find them back to 1882 in QLD 

There are FREEGARD's listed in the QLD, NSW, VIC & WA BDM registers

Coolubunia is near Kingaroy which is in SE Queensland and Comet is in Central Queensland near Emerald inland from Rockhampton.

Also.

The 1891 England Census has a Harry Freegard, Grandson, 4 years old born at Rockhampton Australia residing at the residence of Jasper & Ellen Strange of London Rd, Caine, Wiltshire.

Hi Azurich
My husbands grandfather was Albert Henry Freegard married to Mable Lily. His mother was Doreen Alberta born in Katanning Western Australia died 1979 Mount Hawthorn WA.  Albert & Mable had seven children. Can I ask where your connection is. They left London on the 'Armadale' May 27 1911.
Some of Albert's descendants are still alive.

Sorry to come into this topic late but I have recently found Albert Henry Freegard in my tree. I have his birth, marriage and emigration dates also that he died in 1970 but no death details, date or place.

I also have listed his 7 children with Mabel but absolutely no details on Alwyn, Daphne or Ronald if anyone can help.

I understand Albert & Mabel married on the day before their emigration to Freemantle, what excitement.
