Is this his brother William who may have followed George to South Africa?

George Minnikin's brother William Dickson Errington died in Tynemouth in 1927, so it doesn't look as though he followed his brother to South Africa...

The medal was awarded between 1900-1920 to William.

There's no evidence George M's brother even left the UK. He married in Kingston, Surrey in 1917 and his 3 children were all born here. I suspect the William ERRINGTON of the medal is from a different family. More than one set of Es emigrated to SA.

I would appear that Mary Raymond Errington died in South Africa.

I have sent you a PM in this regard.

I think that I might have found Constance!  Her identity number was 201029002308 which shows that she was born on 29 October 1920.  It would appear that she passed away in 2012, and had been living at 129 Pinewood Village Pinelands.  Her year of birth would fit that shown on the census.

Ok - now for Margaret!!

I wonder if this could be her?  My reasoning is that she also died in Pinelands - perhaps living with her sister?

Margaret PENROSE
Margaret Penrose (pseudonym for Margaret Errington) made a brief entry into the crime scene through the UK publisher John Long but after two books put away her pen and paper. Her characters are amateur sleuths who get drawn into the fallout from dastardly deeds. She lived in Pinelands for many years and died in 2010.
