Hello, I am interested in any information on this area and the Crawford's of this area.   My third Great Grandfather is Robert Crawford a farmer from this area.   He had three daughters that I know of, Nancy, Margaret and Elizabeth.   I know Nancy was born in 1844, however, I do not know her mothers name or any confirmed dates for Robert.

I am also interested in an Adam Gibson, carpenter, who was from Bogstown in the Braid, any information would be greatly appreciated

There is a marriage on Jan 15 1852 of Robert CRAWFORD to Eliza Isabella GIBSON
in Newtowncrommalin Presbyterian Church
Robert was from Skelly, Ballymena (F) John
Eliza was from Little Skelly (F) Thomas
Witnesses David JOHNSTON & James ELLIOT

I can see that the births given above are earlier but there may be some connection or Robert may have married twice

Thank you all so much for all your posts and information, everyone's information seems to be correct and matches to the Robert Crawford I am looking for.   The 1851 census for the old age pension for Thomas, seems to be inline with what I have already found.   I tried to google for the actual document, but was unable to locate it, I did find a transcribed version, but just list the names and ages of children, which is extremely helpful, although would love to see the actual document.   I do know they had 5 children, Jane, Nancy (1844), William, Elizabeth (1854) and Margaret (1857), so this census record matches perfectly, and gives me more Dates of birth, and two more children of Thomas and Robert.   I have found the families of Nancy, Margaret and Elizabeth, still on the hunt for Jane.   You have all been so kind and helpful, I really do appreciate it.  I am able to piece together more of my family.

I know I mentioned Adam Gibson, he was a carpenter also from the Bogstown Braid area, and would have been born before 1829.
