THOMAS GORDON b. 1735
« on: Tuesday 14 December 10 17:58 GMT (UK) »
I am looking for anyone with information concerning Thomas R. Gordon b. circa 1735 Aberdeen(?) Scotland. This man evidently had several children in scotland and then moved his family to northern ireland between 1765-1770. there is an oral tradition which says he may have returned to Scotland shortly before his death (after 1780) but, we're unsure of that. This man has turned out to be the common ancestor for three seperate contributors for the Gordon DNA project and info is highly sought after. Any help, however slight, would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Charles Gordon

May be just a coincidence regarding the dates, but a Thomas Gordon had two children in Gartly.
22/05/1758 George Gordon son of Thomas Gordon & Margaret Duncan
04/12/1763 John Gordon son of Thomas Gordon & Margt. Duncan
No other births are registered.
A death is registered in Gartly for a Thomas Gordon 20/04/1790
