i have come across a elative john elcock born 1813 scotland who wed charlotte ? and lived in cawood yorkshire on the 1881 census. any help appreciated.thanks

The 1841 for Cawood is as follows so any marriage was pre-1837 - all b Yorkshire except John

Not a single census from 1851-1881 shows whereabouts in Scotland he was from - they all just show Scotland

The closest to the name on the 1841 census for Scotland is ELLICOCK from Aberdeenshire with the head of the household born in England
