Hi Adam

I can do a look up of the death registration for you and give you a transcription of all that is included.  It may be a couple of weeks before I can get to the FHS library though.

Hello Susan,

That would be brilliant if you could look up that death registration for me. No rush at all, just whenever you happen to have time and be over in Vancouver.

Regards,

Adam

Fortunately, I can do it at my local family history society library (they purchase the film yearly from the Archives) so no need for a trip to Vancouver.

I'll let you know when I have the information.

Susan

Just thought id give you some background info incase you were interested, always nice to know a bit of the background story when your looking someone up.

I’m quite new to all this family history research and have only recently started researching my dads side of the family.  Started out by researching my great grandad George Jones as I knew he was involved with the first world war (which I have an interest in)….he was born in Hucknall (UK) in 1885….he became a minor, then sometime between april 1911 and 1914 he went to America, then in 1915 (by which time he’d moved over into Canada) he signed up to the CEF in Calgary and was sent back to England for training which is where he met Charlotte Wakeford, they married in 1915 and had their first child in 1918, lily Jones. In 1919 George, Charlotte and Lily all went back to Canada to live. In 1922 my Grandad was born, Harold Jones. Sadly due to the effects of mustard gas George died in 1925. Charlotte moved to Vancouver and then only 7yrs later Charlotte also died………and its Charlotte death registration that ive asked you to look up for me:-)  Their two children Lily and Harold were then sent to live with Charlottes aunt or sister in Eastleigh, Hampshire.

Hi Adam,
I was interested to come across your posts as Charlotte Wakeford was the sister of my great grandmother, Emma Wakeford who later became Emma Gowans. It was Emma and her husband Bill that Lily and Harold went to live with in Eastleigh after their mother's death. I have lots of information about the Wakeford family and also about Emma and Charlotte's mothter's family, the Barlows, who were originally from Collingbourne Ducis in Wiltshire. However, I don't know anything much about Charlotte's husband or his family and would love to find out more if you have info that you would be willing to share. I've attached a photo of Charlotte for you.
I look forward to hearing from you
cheers
Nikki

Hi Susan,

I am also looking for this same information on behalf of one of Charlotte's great grandchildren. Any chance you could forward it on?
