I have Margaret Mary Ryan who married Charles Collier Cates in 1879 in Victoria
I'm assuming (at this stage) that he'd previously married Annabelle Flood & Anna Buchanan & someone else prior to Annabelle.
I believe Charles died 1893 in Sydney but had been living in Albury. Margaret died 1927 in Northcote Vic
In 1878 there is a newspaper article stating he was blinded in one eye in a fight in Victoria. He was awarded money.
I haven't purchased Charles & Margaret's marriage certificate. Margaret was born 1846 in Anacarty Tipperary Ireland
Nor have I purchased Charles probate documents.
I haven't found any children born to this couple in Vic. But will check NSW.
