okay okay we're sorry. Im going to stick to this post and not post anymore. OK?  :-\

Anyway, back to what I was saying. How does Milas come into this? I had some information my Grandma gave to me, about that Milas was the son of Millice? Or it might be the other way round..

Margaret Florence CULPIN didn't marry and died in 1965?

Haven't had chance to check out all the birth references but they should be on FreeBMD.

So where does Milas Culpin come in? Was he the father to Millice?
I'm confused now.  Who is Milas?  I have Millice Culpin as father to George Francis and grandfather to Francis de Montfort.

Also when I posted the 1871 census I gave his occupation as carrier - this isn't right - he was a currier and leather cutter.

The earliest I can see him at the moment is in 1851:-

Millice Culpin 31 head mar currier born St Ives
Sarah S Culpin 28 wife born Downham
B E Lamartine Culpin 2 son born Buntingford
Catherine Culpin 11m dau born Stevenage
Millice Culpin 4 son born Buntingford

HO107/1709/272 p 3

No sign of his father yet.

Can't see him yet in 1841.

No one has talked about Millas Culpin in this post yet - He was a medical practitioner, and married Ethel Maude Bennet in 1907, where he went to Shanghai. I'm just trying to figure out who his parents are, and where he fits into the family tree.

I saw a Doctor in one of the directories but didn't post it because I didn't want to confuse further.

Was he George Francis Culpin's brother who is on the census as Millice, aged 4 in 1851?

I'm not sure. Apparently Millais' spelling of his name changes from different census', so maybe a "millice" is actually him?

A while ago there was a tv series called "Casualty 1909", and there were charactors in there called Doctor Millais Culpin and Ethel Maude Bennett (which are my ancestors) :)

I believe the one who married Ethel Maud Bennet is the 7 year old son 'Milli' here

1881 census
