The only information I have for where the house is located is my cousin Tom Edwards visited over there and he said he was on A541 turn to Ysceifiog.

Hi Wondered if you still keep in touch with this site as the thread is quite old. I have the name Downing used as a middle name & also as part of a double barrelled surname, Downing-Jones in my family tree & thought that there may be a connection to your Downings as they were in the same area?

I haven't done much research on this line, however, other cousins information has Elizabeth Isabel Downing father as George Downing connected to 10 Downing Street.

Here are a few website sites about the Downings that I'm related too. Like I said I haven't done any research on this line, just what was sent to me by other cousins. I mostly work on the Edwards line.

My connection is:
Thomas Edwards married Elizabeth Downing. Her father was suppose to be George Downing.

I hope this helps in some way.
