I can find Mary Chelmicks on every census but they are obviously not yours.  Perhaps it would be a good idea to give us a few clues - maybe when they married? where they married? and quite importantly which censuses you have them and their family on, giving full details of their age and birthplaces so that we have a few facts.  Then what information would you like? ie earlier censuses/birth/baptisms etc.

Mary was born abt 1876 I still think Bishop castle, she married John Gough who was born 1868 in Shropshire
Children

Thomas C1900
Robert John 1908
What I am looking for is information on Mary and the Chelmick family, I have also not found John and Mary marriage
Thank you for replying

Hello

How accurate is your info re Chelmick family? I ask because
looking at the 1901 census at Jughall, Bishop's Castle there is:

John Gough  33 House painter b. Bishops Castle
Mary  "  25  b. Bishops Castle
Lillie 3 & Thomas C 11 mos.

Next door is:
Maria Harris widow 54 Laundress b. Bishops Castle
Lilly Harris dau single 22 b. B.C
Charles Harris son 15

There is a marriage in 1897 Sept qtr at Clun district 6a 1112 for John Gough & Mary Ann Harris.

Looking back to 1881 at Dog Kennel Cottage there is a Mary A Harris age 6 with Maria age 33 (Head of family married Sawyer's wife) & other children including Lillie age 2.

We are not allowed to do lookups for 1911 but there are hints on this site as to how to do this without using credits to find families. If you do this looking for Lillie Gough born 1898 you will find her as a niece which makes the connection. You can also find further children to John Gough and Mary.

The marriage of Lillie Harris to Robert Joseph Whitehead 1904 Mar qtr West Derby may be helpful.

Good luck.

I think the connection is:

John Harris married Ann(e) Chelmick 1862 Dec qtr Clun 6a 1097

1871 RG10/2729/42/22  Rhespass, Whitcott, Clun
John Harris   head mar 37 Ag Lab b. Bishops Castle
Ann Harris wife 26 b. Clun
John  son 7 b. Lydham, Shropshire  (1864/5)
Ellenor  dau 5 b. Snead, Shropshire
Charles  son 2 b. Mainstone, Shropshire
Lucy dau 9 mos b. Mainstone, Shropshire
Ellen Chelmick  sister in law  single 22 b. Bishops Castle

(Lydham, Snead & Mainstone are all very near B.Castle)

so it would seem that John Harris's mother was a Chelmick.

This is, of course, conjecture and the only way to confirm the connections is by buying the appropriate certificates as and when you can.
