You can try the newer LDS Beta Site but many of us find it more difficult to use.

Goldings have been around in Dublin since the arrival of the Normans.

I can see a couple of George Murray deaths that would possibly fit. One was GM b 1844 whose death was regd 1892 Apr - June 1892, Dublin South Vol 2 p 627. The other was b 1836, death Jan - Mar 1896, Dublin S, Vol 2 p 495.

Elwyn,

Does the info say where he was buried, born or what he died of. I'll go on both of those to check Scottish census with the knowledge that his father was Thomas. Thanks again to you both.

Irish death certificates don't list place of burial or birthplace but cause of death would be on the certificate. See here for details included on death certificaites and how to order them-

How can i be sure that either of these Georges are Mary Golding's husband? Will her name be on the cert.

Certificate will give status (single/bachelor, married, divorced) and name and address (and sometimes relationship) of the informant. There's no way to tell what is on the certificate and which, if any, are for the correct person. One thing which might confirm it is the address of the deceased.

The occupation of the deceased is usually included on death certs, which can help confirm that you have the correct person if you have other documentation which shows this to compare against- e.g. marriage cert, birth certs for children etc
