Might I pick your brains? Your experience of genealogy obviously enables you to know that the presence of "Yeoman farmer" among lots of miners indicates that you have the right place. Could you perhaps explain why - I would be most grateful for the lesson.
If you look at the "old map" reference I gave earlier, you'll see-
1) a terrace of about a dozen houses - Low Harras
2) a house surrounded by fields - Windsor Hill
3) another group of 10-12 houses - High Harras
It's not too hard to guess where the famer may have lived is it?
