Hi,

From Ancestry, his service number is 96383 on the medals index.  He was born in Ingatestone, Essex and died Oct. 10, 1917 in Mesopotamia.  He enlisted at Warley, Essex.  His regiment was Royal Horse Artillery and Royal Field Artillery.

Thanks Adele1.

Gortonboy, I believe that he is related to me as I have a number of relatives born in Ingatestone and the surrounding area. On this basis, yes, I think his father was Charles Daniel Dann but I believe he was born in 1870. What makes you say 1873? I am trying to confirm beyond reasonable doubt that the Thomas Dann in SDGW & CWGC is Thomas Charles Dann, Charles' son.
