have found George Castle parents James and Sarah nee Rowlls in anything apart from on his marriage and death certs.
know nothing about his life or history in England.

I have been searching, but at the moment cannot find a marriage for his parents or a baptism for him in anglican records.  Without finding some record like this, establishing anything else is likely to be difficult.  At the moment I cannot even determine if his parents married in Hampshire, which doesn't help  :-\

What were the other names of the Castle family who travelled on the same ship as Ellen Kershaw.  Perhaps they might provide a clue.

I will have to look for the information I think it was James 23 Jane 19 and definitely susan  28....Unable to help further than that

Dont know if its any help but Castle is a Traveller name in Hampshire . It might be an idea to try some Gypsy sites, . My inlaws are Castles from Fordingbridge area , they often took their Mothers Maiden name , so can be very confusing
