CASTLE in Lyndhurst Hampshire

Hi Dot and Debbie,
Im new to this forum and noticed your correspondance. Im looking for a Thomas and Sarah (nee Rowlls) Castle, They had a son (at least that is what is listed on a marriage cert) George Castle born near on 1826. He was my great x 3 grandfather.(george) I am living in Australia and have no knowledge how to track him in England. This George died Avondale New Zealand 1890. He and Ellen Kershaw married in Australia. Any help would be awesome thanks

All I know of George Castle is
born 1826? give or take from marriage cert
born in Lyndhurst, Hampshire England
Married 1863 Victoria Australia
Parents Thomas and Sarah Rowlls Thomas's occupation at time was "Cooper" = carpenter.
Thank for all your help this man has driven my cousin and I mad for years. both of us kiwis and no knowledge of how to use the England system.

George's children names may be of some use with siblings to George if he had any...

Florence Victoria.... all the children were born in Australia and New Zealand. Apart from the name May, none of the names were ever use again in New Zealand and Australia

I'm having zero luck with this one.  I've searched for a baptism for George, a marriage for his parents and drawn a complete blank.  I don't know of another Lyndhurst in England.  There is a Lindhurst but that's Nottinghamshire.  My only conclusion is that the family were non-conformist.

Any idea when he emigrated?

before 1863 to Victoria Australia from what I can gather.. Ellen Kershaw and family came out in 1863 then they were married. There was a Castle family on the same ship...have not idea if they were related to him. One of the names was Susan Castle.

On George Castle's death cert it has New Forest listed as place of birth.
On his marriage cert Lyndhurst Hampshire.
Can someone please help with finding out where my George Castle was born and prehaps siblings and parents names.

Have you found George on a census in England?

In 1841 there is a  George CASLE age 15 son of James & Hester living Dilton, Lymington.

HO107/393 folio 11/23 page 8

Trouble is, I'm not sure that the transcription of the surname is correct.
