St Margaret's in Leicester.

Name George Ripton  born c1820-1827

I have a freeby disc from a magazine that contains baptisms @ St. Margaret's Leicester, 1813-1878. No occurrences of the surname Ripton at all, I then checked every George baptised between 1820-1827, no Geoge's with a surname that could be in any way interpreted as Ripton - sorry!  :'(
Rigg/Scholfield - Oldham/Rochdale
Hibbert/Moore - Hayfield/Saddleworth
Garstang/Kirby - Littleborough/Todmorden
Sutcliffe/Hill - Todmorden/Walsden
Young/Stevenson/Newbutt - Ticknall/Kegworth/Nutall/Hucknall/Bulwell
Woolley/Potter, Gaze/Parkins - Kegworth/Normanton-on-Soar/Wheathampstead/Harpenden
Smith/Green - Offley/Flamstead

Reference St. Margaret's records.

Oliver, son baptised 24th Sept 1819
Lewis, son baptised 26th Dec 1815

My queries on these entries are as follows -

Any baptism for Maria  any baptisms for any other children up to 1821 ?

On the freeby disc I have (Baptisms 1813-1878, St. Margaret's) there are only the two baptisms for Oliver and Lewis as above, nothing for Maria or any other children of Benjamin/Ann - Sorry!

Hopefully Mike or someone else with access to more records will be able to respond on the other events.

Thanks Davidrigg3 & Mike.

This at least confirms my assumptions, guess Benjamin and Ann(e)  were married elsewhere.

Regards.

Dave.

Hello, I'm very new here and stumbled on this thread while searching for some baptisms at St Margaret's / St Matthews.
I wonder if anyone would be so kind as to let me know the details of a particular family?
The head is James Haynes (Haines) b. 5 Oct 1878 Leicester,  d 2 Nov 1949 in Melton. Parents William Haynes & Fanny Spencer. Baptism info would be great.
Wife: Emily Green Sep 1878 - 1912 married 15th October 1899 in St Matthews
Son: William Edward 1900 - ?
Son: James 1905 - ?
Dau: Doris (Edna?) 1908 - ?

There was one more child listed as having died on the 1911 census but I do not know if boy or girl and how old.
Many thanks in advance :)

G'day Mike, I'm hoping you can assist with some other details of the following marriage at St Margaret's:

26 Dec 1754, Thomas  TREECE and Sarah CRAMP.

I'm hoping that Thomas is one of my Sawley strays.
