Hi Mike,

Am looking for a baptism of James Barnacle at St Margaret's around 1834 and his parents marriage around 1820. I believe his parents were William and Elizabeth Barnacle.

Would you be kind enough to have a quick look and see if you can find them?

Thanks in advance,

Stephen

Doyou have access to the marriage records? I have a William Hargreaves Snow marrying Sarah Marshall on 21st November 1825. I borrowed a film however it was just a printed list.
I am trying to trace Sarah's parents. I have traves her husband back many generations in York.

Thank you for the quick reply.
I have them on the census from 1841 until 1881. Sarah was born in Leeds. Her birth year varies from 1806 to 1811. There are number of Sarah Marshalls born around Leeds during that period. I was hoping the church record may give more information. Even a witnesses name can sometimes help.

Greeting’s Caimein. & Welcome to the Leicestershire Boards……

The only way is to have a look at the Marriage Registers
held at the Records Office.
In the hope that a name recognisable to you appears as a witness.

Ages and occupations & parents will not appear within the Register
These details were not part of the Register
until after the September quarter of 1837.

This I can do on your behalf and report back on this thread with my findings.

That would be wonderful. I live in Sydney, Australia so I am unable to visit the Records Office.
Thank you Caimein
