MORTIMER AND MARGARET COYNE DOWD

Hello Everyone,

I am interested to know if there are any descendants of Margaret Coyne Dowd and Mortimer Dowd of Fanore, Ballyvaughan, County Clare, Ireland.  Margaret Coyne Dowd was my great-grandmother's sister and I can't find any record of a death.  Mortimer Dowd was born in Fermoyle, also in County Clare.  One of Margaret Coyne's son's, Mortimer, emigrated to the USA and married Delia Agnes Guthrie in 1908.  Hope someone can help.

Have you checked the Irish 1901 and 1911 census which are both free to search at

www.census.nationalarchives.ie/search

There is a 1911 entry for Margaret Dowd aged 64 and in the same household is a 2yr old grandson Mortimer

You will find both Mortimer & Margaret in 1901 so Mortimer must have died between 1901-1911 and Margaret after 1911

The IGI has 2  entries for their children - Jane b 4.11.1879 Clare and Mortimer b 5.1.1876 Clare
