Have you noticed that two Sarah E Dodd's were born in the area in 1887? Sarah E registered Hawarden and Sarah Elizabeth registered Flint.

Clearly one of these married Peter Davison in 1912, and the GRO registers suggest that they had three children: George W 1918, Joyce 1921 and Glenys 1925.  Each of the children is registered Hawarden and mother's maiden name is shown as Dodd. My guess is that the Sarah that married Peter Davison is not your Sarah.

Hi Tecwyn

No I didn't notice that.

That might just make sense as I can't see Sarah not being married.

I have checked the  GRO indexes from 1906 upto 1926 but cannot find a marriage.
It all seems a bit strange??

I have found WW1 service records for Harry from 1914, he enlisted in Shotton which is where he was living. He was aged 31 and born in West Bromwich, also have his fathers address from his service record

Thanks

Hello Meriel, Have you seen Sarah Elizabeth Hales burial record Jan 1 1927 age 39?
It gives her address as Brookside Garden City.
It might be worth a look at the Electoral Rolls :-\

Hi Paul

Thank you for the info.  That is the Sarah I am looking for.

Would anyone on here have access to the Electoral rolls for 1927 for Flintshire or would I have to go to the records office

Thanks

Hi Meriel,
I had a look through some electoral rolls. All they tell you is Harry and Sarah lived in Brookside from 1918. I couldn't see them in Garden City before then :(

Can you post the census info you have & the names of their children?

Paul.
