Hello,
I am wondering if anyone might know which newspapers might cover the Acklam area and which libraries/archives might have them. I am looking for an obituary from 1951.
thanks

Hi, if you mean the Acklam in Middlesbrough (I think there's also one near Scarborough) then that would be the Evening Gazette and Middlesbrough Central library has newspapers on film.

The phone number for Central library is 01642 729001 or e-mail reference_library at middlesbrough.gov.uk replace at with @, done this way to avoid spammers.

There is also an Acklam in East Yorkshire. It is situated approximately 19 miles north east of York city centre and 6.5 miles south of Malton.
