Here is a link to the WW1 memorial - http://www.corkcity.ie/lordmayor/historicalinformation/corkscivicmonuments/mainbody,15441,en.html

It is on the Lord Mayor of Cork's web pages. No mention of a Boer War memorial.

You could try these people - corkpastandpresent@corkcity.ie

If you have a specific person in mind I have a copy of the casualty lists. It would help if you have the man's regiment.

Ken

Hi Topsey
I have just seen your post about the Cork Boer War Monument. If you are still interested in information please e-mail me at (*) or post here.
I began researching that monument some years ago but had to finish another project first. I am now in the process of compiling the names of all the Cork men who died during the Anglo-Boer wars (both). I have the names of the men listed on the monument, however some years ago an attempt to blow the monument up distroyed part of the name panels which left some names only partially readable, but I have about 80 full names and many partial names.

If any readers have any information on names connected with Cork city and county I would very much appreacate you contacting me
Regards,
Sean
