Hi Suz , My ancestor Martha Emes was born around 1770 in Crediton Devon and was the second wife of William Mogridge. They married on 19th July 1792 in Crediton and I am descended from their son Abraham born 1793. I know nothing more about Martha and will be happy to hear from anyone who may have come across her when researching their trees.

It seems there were 2 martha Emes b Crediton
There is martha who married William Mogridge

and then

Martha Emes married Jun 1786 in Crediton

there are these two baptisms

parents James Emes /Elizabeth

Martha Emes
c. 30 Jan 1764 Crediton Devon
parents Thomas Emes/Mary
