Bogue/Halliday - anyone help?

In my search for my ancestors, i came across an irish connection, but not much information ???I had thought they were born in Antrim, which is where they married, and subsequently went to scotland. I have just come across some more information from the 1881 census in scotland which gives birthplace as follows - John Bogue born 1841 Lagan, Ireland and Helen (nee Halliday) Bogue born 1842/3 Monaghan, Ireland. Does anyone have access to any records which can supply any more details? I know that Johns' father was called Michael, and Helens' was called John. Thanks very much.

John Bogue was my gtgt grandfather and was born in 1841 in Monaghan. I believe his fathers name was Michael, but thats about all I have. Can anyone supply any further information?
John married Ellen Halliday in 1871 (2nd April) in St Annes, Belfast.
