Looking for ANY passenger/ship list connections to these two families:

Johann George Voelker arrived 1865-1871, settled in South Easthope Township, Perth County, Ontario
with wife Catherine Elisabeth Staffel and son Henry born 1848 in Germany

Also, Andreas Hey/Hay arrived 1846, with wife Anna Sophia Dorothea Bertha Schmidt, settled in Huron Co, Ontario

Did Henry arrive separately from his parents? I think I see his parents on the 1871 census in Perth County, Ontario but Henry's entry on the 1900 and 1920 US census indicates his immigration year was 1872 although 1910 does say 1866.

There is already a John Voelcker 1861 (All Places (Agricultural), Perth, Ont)  , you have confirmed this is not the right one?

added Have found this couple in Easthope 1861 but no Henry in household...

How did you get confirmation her first name was Catherine, from a marriage?

The marriage for Henry Voelker and Catherine Hey lists Henry's parents as George and Elizabeth and Catherine's as Andrew and Anna.

There does appear to be more than one Voelker family in the area. There is a marriage for a John Voelker of South East Hope who married in 1872. His parents were listed as Henry and Elizabeth.

So as parents they are using second names  George & Elizabeth but signed as witnesses John & Catherine?  Or are we seeing a different couple here? I'm confused, now....
Henry is already in U.S. before the 1874 marriage, wonder where he is in 1861?
So Henry is the reverend I saw in the U.S....a natural progression from carpenter

The Evangelical religion might help tie in the families as weren't  many German families Catholic, Mennonite or Lutheran?
Excuse my ignorance of the religions  I now see it was the major one as it was a shortening for Evangelical Lutheran
