overseas death certificates
« on: Wednesday 10 November 10 09:56 GMT (UK) »
Hello there, could anyone tell me what info I can find on an overseas death certificate.  I was wondering how my gg gf actually died as on ancestry it says died of wounds.  I am debating whether to order the certificate or save my money for certificates that are going to give me more info.  His name was Joseph pragnell, his reg. no. was s-1573. He died 23rd February 1915.  I have managed to find his grave and medal roll but no other info.   Any help would be gratefully received.

Hi crazymasie !

The number you have quoted belongs to a JOHN Pragnell.  Are you sure you have the right person ???  John was born and raised in Fulham.

Wendi  :)

PS in general I would say it's not worth getting the death certificate as it will probably tell you nothing more.

Thanks for the reply. I have the right man, his name has been spelled differently all the way through  my search which has made life difficult, but I have a medal which has the reg. no.  so it has helped confirm everything.
