Hello Valda - new to the site as you probably know joined yesterday when I came across it by accident. Not sure how I get on to start a new quest can only see reply options hence here. Am looking for any information about Frederick Oeschger from Switzerland first appears as my great great grandfather 5 Noel Street, St Pancras where his first child was born- can follow his life from then on - he had 12 children by Emma Payne but they never married. He was a Master Cabinet Maker died alone in Hammersmith - inquest - newspaper report - have all that but not his origins. Tried for many years now and found another researcher from another sibling who has been trying too. The name was anglicised because of the Wars some using Payne and Oscar. I was brought up in Edmonton. Is there anyone out there who knows ? DOB 1847.
Can you also tell me how to start a new message ?
Looks an interesting site. Many thanks Fayetta

Hi Fayetta

I have split this and made it into it's own topic.

To start a new topic, go to the board where you want to put a message.

Towards the top right of the screen are 3 buttons, 'new topic' is inbetween 'Notify' and ' New Poll'

Click on new topic, give your topic a relevant title and start your message.

Have a look at our help pages for more information, maybe posting topics and replies
