George Taylor, Waldron, Walden, Mayfield?
« on: Saturday 06 November 10 23:31 GMT (UK) »
Hi,

Hope someone can help. Currently on a new branch and I'm trying to find anything for George Taylor birth about 1806, but from census records he was born in 3 places  ???

Walden Sussex
Waldron Sussex
Mayfield Kent

Cross checking I'm sure it's the same chap so I guess there's some enumurator/transcriber errors.

Anything would be great.

Paul.

Hi Paul

Mayfield is actually in East Sussex and not that far from Waldron, both either side of Heathfield.

Thanks for that Omega, I wonder what your source of information is as I may need it again and do some more digging.

Thanks Kerry, I guess that's Mayfield and Five Ashes?

Paul.

Hi Paul

Your Welcome

I got it from the SFHG.You need to be a member for access to Baptisums & Burials.

If you have plenty of Ancestors in Sussex it maybe worth joining. It cost £11 a year.

At the moment I'm not sure how many Sussex ancestors I've got. Most have been Kent but a few on the Kent/Sussex border. At £11 it seems good value if only for that odd useful snippet of info.

Hi Paul

It is!  Mayfield and Five Ashes and I have just managed to dig out my Phillimore's Atlas and Mayfield and Waldron parishes are next to each other.
