Couldn't help but join in on this conversation. .. must say that reading this post whilst I was go ogling the history of Gibraltar Barracks in Northampton made me join the site.

Has I write this post I'm sitting in Gibraltar barracks.... it is still pretty much here, the outer building which was once a jail is now housing but the main building is still on use.  It's now the home of 'A' Company LNR Army Cadet Force.

Just thought I would let you know.. if you want to know anything else just ask.

Thanks for your interest. I'm surprised to hear that part of Gibraltar Barracks still exists. Dad, sadly long gone, was born there back in 1904!
