Rootschat is a very public forum. Within about three minutes af a posting Google has each post indexed. Moderators remove e-mails and phone numbers in accordance with RootsChat policy, to avoid spamming and other abuses that may occur if they are posted in such a public forum, as we really don't want any of those occurences to happen to Rootschat members. Rootschat has a personal messaging system which allows members to exchange this sort of private information.

My name is Richard Bongartz I am the son of Alexander Bongartz,Jim Sinclair was my uncle I remember going to his house in Southend when I was a kid,I stayed there for a short time after my dad got us out of the orphanage, which he had not much choice to put us in after his wife left..I'm in the middle of getting in touch with Charles Bongartz son in Australia. My son and I are  going to attempt to build a family tree next year as its a minefield. As my father passed away when I was young I haven't a lot of info.i do remember my uncle Jim as he came to edinburgh for my dads funeral..

Hi Ricky,
Yes I remember you colin, michelle and gary came and stayed with my dad and doris when they lived in valkyrie road at westcliff-on-sea essex. I went and stayed with my dad just before you. You was very young at the time. If you liked you can get me on *, i have a hell of alot on the bongartz family and some pics. And letters from grandma. And uncle charlie the eldest of the family i lived with for 20yrs, and he told me and the family that i am the dead spit image of grandma and when he first saw me  he said cool blimey mum s come home. And Aunty Katherline is one nasty vicious pregnant dog, don't ever try and get any info about te family, cos she will abuse if you try and ask her anything, and she called our grandma a whore. I said to Christina she has some flaimin nerve when her so called father never gave grandma any money to feed the children nothing even when grandma died of cancer of the cervix and she would have been extreme  extreme pain. And then when just before grandma died Bongartz took his partner down to see her just a few days before she died and he never even went and got his children he just let them go to the orphange and it was in Kent called Orpington. Unle charlie first born changed his surname to weedon  his mums maiden name to did uncle bernard. I came over last january and collected uncle johns ashes and went up to grandmas grave and scattered them on her grave cos i promised him i would take him home to be with his mum and we said the Lords prayer as we scattered them and it was beautiful. Please get in touch with me so i can email you stuff what i got. Uncle charlie's real name was Carl Henry Bongartz and that Charlie in Aussie was the image of uncle charlie right down to his long sideburns same sort of build. If You can give me your house number i can ring you cos i get over seas calls $2 for half hour. Look forward to hearing from you, take care.

Hi Ali good to hear from you I've just got round to looking at making a family tree,as I'm new to this chatroom I've no idea how to send you my email address without it being removed.there is a lot of info I would love to find out, I wouldn't worry about me as I can look after myself when dealing with devious twisted people.it sounds like we have a complicated family and a few issues flying about. I would make one point my dad put us in an orphanage, but hey done us the world of good in the long run.my dad(Alex) has and always be in my eyes the greatest man I've ever know, even though he had his faults and plenty of them. It would be good to get in touch if your on Facebook you can get hold of me easy, our part of the family is massive now I've 3 brothers sadly Colin passed away 2 years ago 1 sis 6 neices 6nephews 1 great nephew and 1 son who's a chip of the old block

Look forward hearing from you
Ricky xx

Hi Ricky

There is a link in the topic I posted on 23rd September on how to send a pm = personal message, using the Rootschat pm system which is completely private. You can exchange information such as email addresses via a pm. As a new member you have to make three posts before you can send and receive a Rootschat pm. Acknowledging my post would bring you up to three posts and following the instructions in the link you can start pming other Rootschat members.
Rootschat is a very popular website. Within three minutes of making a post Google will have indexed the post and made it available to be easily found for anyone who is searching, which includes those who wish to collect email addresses and send as much spam as possible. For the protection of our members we therefore ask that email addresses are not posted on the open boards and that members notify us if they see any so moderators can remove them. This is one of the rules that we request members do comply with when they join Rootschat.
