Hi,
Visited Glanadda Cemetery about 3 weeks ago; spent about an hour and a half looking for the Eames grave, but without success. Called at the office at Bangor crematorium/Bangor New cemetery, near Llandygai, today. Official there very helpful and gave me information that enabled me to identify both graves.
Grave at new cemetery:
The stone is quite new and appears to have been erected after burials in 1999 and 2000. As Rootschat policy is not to allow naming of living people and those who have recently died, I'll leave blanks in the inscription and supply info by PM.
"In loving memory of ------ ------ Eames, dear father and taid('grandfather for those not familiar with the Welsh language), who passed away October 6th 1999, aged 57 years. "Rest in Peace". ------- Eames 27-3-1920 - 23-7-2000, dear mother of ------, ----- and ----- . "Forever in our Hearts".
Underneath are written 3 names, but no details. I assume that these were family members that had previously been buried in that grave. William Moses Eames, who I have previously mentioned as being buried in this grave in 1935, but as Moses Henry Eames (?). The other 2 names were Margaret Eames and James Henry Eames.
When leaving I happened to notice another Eames grave.
In memory of John, beloved son of W & K Eames, 11, Tabernacle Street, Bangor, 1919 -1946. Also his beloved father William Eames, 1880-1948. Also his beloved mother Kate Eames, 1882-1961. "Peace perfect Peace".
On the grave surround is written, 'Also beloved daughter Nellie, 1906-1981.
I'm having trouble with the Rootschat system when typing something this long, so I'll carry on in a seperate Reply.
I'll recheck some of the details sometime.
Emyr
