Hyman Jacobs
« on: Sunday 10 April 05 15:05 BST (UK) »
Is there anyone who would help me find a Hyman Jacobs?  I have his son John Jacobs who married a Rebekah Winslow (dau of William Winslow) 2 July 1883 Parish Church, Christ Church, Spitalfields.  John was born Mar quarter of 1861 London City or Dec quarter of 1862.  John real name could have been Jacob Jacobs,  the couple seem to have had a habit of changing their christian name.  I am also looking for William Winslow (as abo.ve).  In 1901 John & Rebekah were living at Thorparch Road. The family legend says that a relative of Rebekah's was a well known boxer who went by the name of The "Winslow boy" or The "boy Winslow" Or a similiar alias.  I would be very greatful for any assistance.  Regards Pauline

Pauline,
Try the gazettes online for the Winslow Boy.  If he was in any way famous, he might have his name mentioned.

Hello

I'm doing a bit of housekeeping and wondering if this older request has been resolved in the meantime or you are still looking for the information?  If the latter, do you have any further information to hand?

If I don't hear from you in a while I'll assume this is resolved and move it to the 'completed' section.

Regards
Biker  :)
