Oulton family - Cheshire

I only have one Oulton in my tree.  She is my 4th great grandmother Mary Oulton.  She married John Tilsley in Nantwich on 2 Feb 1769.  I don't know who her parents were.

Hi, the IGI marriage record also gives her birth year as 1741 as it gives the ages of bride and groom, she 28, he 25.

The only likely looking birth is 1743 in Warmingham, but there are some Mary Oulton, buried in Acton around 1742 and one in Nantwich in 1744 so she could belong to any one of these families or none of them!

I feel sure that if she was born in Nantwich she would appear on the Cheshire Parish Project but she doesn't

Found out my Mary Oulton was in fact Mary Pemberton who married Thomas Oulton on 19 Mar 1762, they had one daughter that I know of, Margaret born  1762 in Acton by Nantwich.

Thomas died in 1767 and Mary remarried to John Tilsley in 1769.

Thanks for your message - Sorry, not sure if Thomas Oulton was related to Oultons from Barthomley, Nr. Crewe, although locations are very close.  Am still researching them! Received Rootschat message recently about a new (to me!) website Pilot Family Search. I note it's based in Salt Lake City, Utah.  Have found this a brilliant search engine for ancestry info.  Will keep in touch if I find anything else.

Mary Ann Joynson's parents were Peter Joynson & Elizabeth Fox, who married at Bartholmey on Apr 29 1780.  On Familysearch there is a list of marriage allegations for Cheshire & this includes one for Richard Oulton & Mary Ann Joynson giving their ages as 24 & 22.  It might have some more information for you?  Peter is buried at Warmingham.
