Report of the inquest of the Ann Long who froze to death

There's an Ann Long of China (area of Merthyr where your Ann & Eliza are in 1861) who appears regularly in the papers for stealing boots, clothes etc. If the same person she;s also described at least once as a sand girl, often as a hawker and also a lanky looking irish woman. She appears to be bc1838 and ends up being sentenced to 7 yrs in 1873

I have not been on here for a while.  I did get the Death Certificate but it did not help as no next of kin or address.  Says she was a Widow which does not fit.
Ann's niece was imprisoned for stealing boots as well, though in later years she did turn over a new leaf.
I suspect mine was the Ann Long sentenced to Jail.
