Hi again,

Just found Lilian May Tarlton's obituary.  It is in the Sept 28th 1993 edition, page B15.  She is L. May Tarlton here.

She died in Scarborough on Sept 26th.  She was in her 90th year.  Her husband isn't mentioned, so I assume he predeceased her.  Dick isn't mentioned either, but her sister Hilda is....  There is a name in brackets next to Hilda, but I can't read it.  It looks like Wowrie or something.  Perhaps Hilda married again??   More mysteries for you!!

May's son and daughter in law are named, as are 2 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.  I can't list their names here, because they are likely all still living.  I can PM them to you, or you can go on the pages of the past site and see the obituary.

There is no cemetery listed.

RK :)

My quick search didn't turn up any other family members, but if you can find some dates from the cemetery, it will make the search easier.

Hi ..

Super find Carol.  Your voters list dates helped narrow my search for Lillie Foulkes's obit.  I finally found her.

See the Star, Nov 17, 1977 edition, page B 6.

Lillie died November 16, 1977.  It says her husband predeceased her, so did her son Dick.  She is survived by daughters May (Mrs H E Tarlton) and Hilda (Mrs J Leavens).  She had 7 grandchildren and 14 greatgrandchildren (not named).  She is buried at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.

RK :) :)

This is brilliant news and you have exceeded my wildest expectations, and in such a short time too.
I have so often wondered what happened to them, and I am delighted to find I have family in Toronto!

Hilda would have been named after Lilian's sister. Lilian was my grandfather's sibling (out of 12 altogether) and I have been working on finding out about them for some time now.

Hopefully one of the grandchildren will spot this post and contact me.

Thank you, thank you thank you, I am thrilled.

I need a drink -so just off to pop the kettle on!!   :D :D :D

There aren't many Leavens's in the phone book, so you might try calling * (you will have to provide your own country codes etc.)

She lives in Newmarket, just North of Toronto and may know something about the family background.

Frank, Lilie and lilian May were guest of my grandfather Joseph Richard Foulkes at Porth Edwen Llanedwen Anglesey in the 1911 census. My great gradfather, Richard Thomas Foulkes was at the Shipyard Dinas Port Dinorwic at the same time.  I'm new to this and have not found out what relation he is but they were all master mariners
